The latest from Wimberley

Each fall, Wimberley's iconic cypress trees transform from verdant green to brilliant orange. Along with the pumpkins and scarecrows decorating Wimberley Merchants, the foliage change is an atmospheric sign of the season that reminds us of the beauty of nature and the charms to be found in a small town. Come see us in the heart of the Texas Hill Country.

Wimberley's shops, boutiques and galleries hold an inexhaustable supply of treasures, just waiting to be discovered. With the holidays just around the corner, there's no better time to shop Wimberley

Winter's Eve -- A Christmas Festival
Live music, great food and spectacular shopping are the hallmarks of Winter's Eve -- A Christmas Festival. Replete with unique Wimberley charm and brimming with holiday cheer, the event brings together Hill Country neighbors and visitors each year to celebrate the season.
This year Winter's Eve is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 10, from 5 to 10 p.m. Several stages will feature great music from a variety of performers. Santa Claus will make a special visit and a children's area will be set up with fun activities for the younger set.

Gracious Ladies
This popular store on the creek recently opened a beautiful new patio. Perfect for relaxing -- or shopping for garden treasures -- you won't want to miss the Patio Overlook Shop.
If you've tried the bamboo wraps from Barefoot Dreams, you'll understand why Gracious Ladies is adding a store within a store just to highlight their products. The debut for the new Barefoot Dreams Store will be on Thursday, Oct. 20, during the Merchant Association's 3rd Thursday event from 5 to 8 p.m.

Kiss the Cook
Kiss The Cook invites you to bring 3 of your knives to be sharpened FREE on Friday, Nov. 4th from 3:00-6:00pm. (No serrated, please) Our Wusthof representative will be in house to sharpen your knives and get you ready for the holidays!

Shop Third Thursdays
Can't get out to see us until after work? Many of the Wimberley Merchants have been staying open late every Third Thursday.
Discover -- or re-discover -- the magic of Wimberley as the sun goes down.
Many shops also offer wine, snacks and special sales and discounts.
Mark your calendar for Oct. 20, Nov. 17 & Dec. 15.
Third Thursdays are also a great way to kick off a long weekend Wimberley getaway.

Small Business Saturday
While Black Friday and its mall madness have long gotten the lion's share of attention, there is an alternative.
Small Business Saturday, scheduled this year for Nov. 26, shifts the focus from big box stores and squabbling over doorbuster sales, to the unique treasures and relaxed atmosphere of boutiques, galleries and independent shops.
In Wimberley, we'll have our own brand of small-town charm to add to the satisfaction of shopping on Small Business Saturday. Make plans to come see us and re-discover the holidays.

Emily Ann Theatre & Gardens
Wimberley's wonders extend far beyond the shopping scene. The EmilyAnn Theatre & Gardens offers both indoor and outdoor theatre performances, great special events (Trail of Lights is just around the corner) and beautiful gardens open every day from dawn to dusk.
