Third Thursday Wimberley – Tammy will send out email reminder to be open and also with voucher entries. City Council needs to amend approval for food trucks/vendors to be anywhere in downtown area for Third Thursday. It has been advertised in the newspaper. We will see about getting it on the HEB Community FB page, Wimberley Cash Mob FB page, 2nd Saturday Gallery Trail FB page. We also discussed the neon insert in Hill Country Sun to concentrate on 3rd Thursday. Shari motioned to see about doing the neon insert for Oct, Nov and December.
Shuttles – Bren checked with KAPS again and they don’t want to do the shuttles because they are concerned with the insurance. We do not have anyone right now that is interested doing shuttles.
We need ways to advertise Wimberley and our events. Banners are coming up to the City Council to for 4th quarter or early next year. Maybe we can use the Corral Theatre sign to advertise. We still need to get someone to help us with advertising. Shari has checked with Texas State and they have media students that may need internship opportunities still. The WMA board needs to identify the specific needs – emailing, social media, etc that we could get someone to help us with. She is waiting to hear back from the school.
Mary will get the order form ready for pumpkins and get it to Tammy to distribute. She is expecting the truck to deliver the last week of September. She will let us know when they are on the way.
Winter’s Eve – Shari has sponsorship letter ready. If we know of anyone who may want to be a sponsor for Winter’s Eve, please get a copy from Shari. Jacque will check on the new artwork for Winter’s Eve to see if it is close to ready.
The first newsletter has been published and been sent to emails that were captured at Winter’s Eve. Sherri Cline has updated the website with minutes and also with a link to sign up for the newsletter.
Saturday, October 15 is Costumed Pet Parade. We need a sponsor. Possibly Whole Pets in Dripping Springs, King Feed, Tractor Supply in Dripping Springs or San Marcos. Need someone to register the pets when they arrive and get some judges for the contest. We want to have the disc dogs and/or dog dancing afterwards at CCC again.
Shopper’s Guides need to be printed again and updated. Need to remove shuttles and add Trick or Treat on the Square as an event. Need to let Mary know of any other updates we may have.
Bob Cook said Art on 12 is going to hire painters to do Day of the Dead face painting. He mentioned it would be really fun if all of our employees were painted.
Traci adjourned at 7:40 pm.
